Privacy Policy
Night Current Studios ("we," "us") makes apps, games and other software. This policy covers our apps, including Flick, and this website. Games and other products may add their own policies when they launch. The short version: our apps don't collect your data, and this website doesn't track you.
Flick
Flick does not collect, store or send any personal data to us or anyone else. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and it makes no network connections.
- Files you toss. When you choose Flick to Trash, the Flick Finder extension passes the location of the files you selected to the Flick app on your Mac. Flick reads each file's name and size to show them in the game, then moves the file to the macOS Trash using the system's standard method. Nothing about your files leaves your Mac.
- Settings and totals. Flick saves your settings (like wind and trash can style) and your totals (files tossed, space cleared, best streak) in your Mac's standard app preferences. They stay on your Mac. You can reset your totals in Flick's Settings, and deleting the app removes its use of them.
- Permissions. Flick only acts on files you choose. macOS may ask you to allow access the first time you toss something from a protected folder like Desktop or Documents.
Purchases
Flick is sold through Gumroad, which handles checkout, payment and download. Gumroad collects the details needed to process your order, under Gumroad's Privacy Policy. We never see your full card details. Gumroad shares your name, email address and order information with us so we can provide support, send product updates you're entitled to, and keep business records. We don't sell or share this information, and we don't use it for advertising.
This website
This site is a set of static pages. It uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts, and its fonts are served from this site rather than a third party. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for a short time to keep the site running and secure.
If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply and help you. We keep support email as long as it's useful for that purpose.
Children
Our apps and website are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you from a purchase or email, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@nightcurrentstudios.com. Records we must keep for tax or legal reasons may be kept as long as required.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the effective date. If an app ever starts collecting data, we'll say so clearly before it does.
